사역이란 어떤 것인가?

사역 使役)
1. 사람을 부리어 일을 시킴. 또는 시킴을 받아 어떤 작업을 함.

 기독교인에게 흔히 사역은 목회자가 하는 일을 뜻하거나 직분자가 맡아서 하는 일들을 떠올리곤 한다. 그러나 내 인생에서 벌어지는 모든 일들 특히 내 뜻과 계획과 상관 없이 맡겨진 일, 하게 된 일도 사역의 다른 형태 중 하나이다.

 그리스도인은 내가 하고 있는 일이 하나님께서 내게 맡겨주신 일이라는 인식과 더불어 내가 하게 된 일에 나를 불러주셨다는 소명 의식과 믿음으로 행해야 한다. 왜냐하면 하나님께서는 방관자가 아니시고 모든 것을 알고 계시며 주관하시는 분이시기 때문이다.

 따라서 그리스도인이라면 누구나 사역자로 살아가야 한다. 사역은 교회 안에서만 있는 것이 아니라 우리의 일상 곁에 있다. 하나님을 의식하고 하나님 앞에서 하는 모든 일. 믿음으로 하는 일. 그것이 사역이다.

 믿음이 없이는 하나님을 기쁘시게 하지 못하나니 하나님께 나아가는 자는 반드시 그가 계신 것과 또한 그가 자기를 찾는 자들에게 상 주시는 이심을 믿어야 할지니라 (히 11:6)

 그리스도인은 내가 해야 하는 일, 내게 맡겨진 일에 하나님이 계시다는 것을 믿어야 한다. 그리고 그 하나님을 경외하며 살아야 한다.

ministry (使役)
1. to call a person to work. Or, to do something by being ordered to do it.

 For Christians, ministry is often thought of as the work of a pastor or the work of a minister. But there are other forms of ministry, such as all the things that happen in your life, especially the things you are entrusted to do without your will or plan.

 As a Christian, I must recognize that what I am doing is something that God has entrusted to me, and I must do it with a sense of calling and faith that He has called me to what I am doing, because God is not a bystander, He is all-knowing and all-powerful.

 Therefore, every Christian should live as a minister. Ministry is not only in the church, but in our daily lives. Everything we do with God in mind and before God, everything we do by faith, is ministry.

 Without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to him must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him (Hebrews 11:6).

 As a Christian, I must believe that there is a God for what I am supposed to do, for what has been entrusted to me. And I must live in awe of that God.
